Math
A significant percentage of North Americans admit, quite happily, that they do not like Math. Furthermore most of them do not have any problem with this. They would hate to admit that they couldn't read. They might be embarrassed to tell someone that they can't cook. They feel badly that they can't sing. But math? "I was never any good at it, my mother wasn't, it must run in the family."
All of this is hogwash of course. As a culture we are not very good at math because we don't understand it, nor do we understand how it fits into God's great er economy. We do, of course, hope that someone out there understands and can apply it. Think about this the next time you drive across a bridge!
We owe it to our children to do better than we did. You can begin here with some of thes egreat math programs and supplementary resources.
