Church History: 1 Credit
This is an introductory course in the development of the church from the Resurrection of Christ to the end of the 20th century. The subject material offers an important vehicle for integrating what the student may have already studied in various world history pro-

“My “moment” came as I was hunched over a Wordsmith notebook at the dining room table, brainstorming more interesting words for bed (I came up with futon). Words are fun! Exasperating, heartbreaking and inspiring, too. My writing as one of Tree of Life’s earliest students hovered somewhere between quirky and more pensive prose. That style – and the curiosity that marks the Tree’s focus on independent learning – still helps craft my work as a journalist today.”
